Hibs back on level terms. 33 mins: Stevie May tries again with a volley over his shoulder - the ball lands somewhere on the A9 near Luncarty. New ball on the pitch. 30 mins: Heffernan tries again, it's blocked well by Wright in the Saints box. Hasselbaink races clear. 27 mins: Mannus saves well at the feet of Heffernan as Hibs try again - to be fair they're having most of the action just now. 26 mins: Collins is booked for Hibs with a challenge on Frazer Wright. 23 mins: Craig's effort is ushered away but a follow-up strike produces a great save from Mannus, then another effort sees Hibs win a corner. That's defended well and Hasselbaink races away to tidy things up. 22 mins: Hibs fans getting restless after another move breaks down tamely into the arms of Mannus once more but they now have a dangerous free kick with Liam Craig over it. 20 mins: Hibs on the attack, Mannus is equal to a decent cross from the wing. GOAL - ST JOHNSTONE 1-0 HIBERNIAN 17 mins: Stevie May with a superb 20-yard finish after a good run from Murray Davidson, Saints go a goal ahead. 46 mins: Wotherspoon comes out fighting with a decent cross from the right, Maybury boots out for a corner. SECOND HALF KICK OFF Saints aiming for the Ormond end this time as the sun comes out to light up McDiarmid for the next 45 minutes. HALF TIME And it's level pegging at half time with neither set of fans having much to complain about. There were a few chances at either end but Hibs probably shaded it. Saints need to pick things up a bit more in the second half. 45 mins + 1: Liam Craig floats a corner in to the Saints box but it drifts away for a goal kick. Surely the last action of the half. 45 mins: 1 minute of additional time indicated by the fourth official. LIVE UPDATES: ST JOHNSTONE 1-2 HIBERNIAN | St Johnstone Football ClubLive updates here from 3pm as Saints entertain the Edinburgh side on SPFL duty. FULL TIME Not enough time, as it turns out. Hibs cruise to a fairly comfortable win over the home side after going behind early on. Saints looked good in early busts of each half but soon retreated into their shells and there'll be some hard thinking for the management team before the next game. 90 mins: Saints fans leaving the East Stand in droves just now, it really doesn't look like there's way back into this game. 15 mins: Ex-Hibs man David Wotherspoon takes the free kick but it's well ushered away. 14 mins: Michael Nelson booked for bringing down May on the left wing - Saints with a set-piece not far from the Hibs goal. 6 mins: Steven Anderson tries a hopeful pass up the left wing which drifts well wide and out for a goal kick. 4 mins: Not much to report so far, Hibs win a corner at the Ormond end but it's well cleared and chased back to the Hibs end by Stevie May. 1 min: Saints are shooting towards the empty North stand today, Hibs fans making plenty noise at the far end of our Main Stand. KICK OFF Green smoke billows from the away end with a couple of loud bangs, Hibs fans trying to set up the matchday atmosphere before kick off. 69 mins: Substitution for Hibs: Lewis Stevenson makes way for James McPake. 68 mins: But Hibs keep coming - winning a corner which is well nodded away, giving rise to another set-piece. 67 mins: And it's actually a double sub - Hasselbaink and MacLean replaced by Edwards and Rory Fallon. And more importantly, a breather for Saints given the recent pounding from the visitors. 66 mins: No sign of the sub yet - the ball hasn't gone dead - but Hibs are flying, this time Heffernan bringing out a great save from Mannus. 51 mins: May bursts clear of a Nelson challenge, set clear by Wotherspoon - he sidefoots to Cregg who blasts at the Hibs defender with MacLean free in the box. 48 mins: Davidson surges through the Hibs defence but his shot floats over the bar. Saints coming out better this half so far. 47 mins: Corner comes to nought as Hasselbaink tries clever pass, too clever for his team-mates it seems. Out for a goal kick. 79 mins: And Zoubir duly arrives, replacing Collins, who put in a decent shift as well as scoring what looks like the winner at this rate. 77 mins: Hibs readying sub Abdellah Zoubir for the last ten minutes or so. 75 mins: Mackay and Davidson combine to try and forge something up front but they're rewarded with a goal kick for Hibs - and another attack coming their way. 73 mins: Saints toiling a bit jus now, Hibs having most of the possession and any attacks from the home side fizzling out pretty quickly. Not sure what's left in the tank to turn things around. Hibernian Football Club (@HibernianFC) Feel free to reply if you think we're wrong. Image. 818. 4,009.
